It seems like rejecting god's leadership for mans. Just as with Samuel when The Jews wound up with Saul as their king.

God will not be denied though. His hand is still in who leads our nations.

I do understand Christ and the apostle's admonishment for us to obey our leaders.

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

To the extent that we should not withhold justice and should keep the laws that make for a better community but shun any law that may come that tells us to break God's law.Thomashttp://alongtheway.110mb.com/comments/God-kings-presidents.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20271097.post-62127538865765501582009-02-01T18:04:00.000-05:002009-02-01T18:04:00.000-05:00Glenn,This is a great piece and a subject that des...Glenn,
This is a great piece and a subject that desperately needs to be properly addressed in our present North American society. It is a subject that I have become very involved in, in the past few years; I will be getting the book that you mention.

Here in Canada there are now a number of conservative Christian organizations that are now dealing with this subject; I belong to two of them. One is ECP, “Equipping Christians for the Public Square,” and the second is ChristianGovernment.ca by Tim Bloedow. Tim has now written three books, and the first one is called “State vs. Church: What Christians can do to save Canada from liberal Tyranny.” I enjoyed this book tremendously because he helps clear some of the confusion concerning the separation of Church and State.

In a nutshell, the liberal/socialist/secularist define the separation of Church and State one way, whereas Christians define it another way (which of course, is the proper definition of it). I try to encourage every Christian to get this book and to get properly involved, otherwise, Christians in North America are going to find themselves in the same situation that Christians find themselves in all communist and Islam nations.

Thanks for this piece.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
